Due to the Orange weather warning for the Cork area tomorrow (Monday 13th November 2023) we will follow current guidelines for the safety of all our staff and students. MICC Dunmanway will open at 10am tomorrow with classes starting at 10:25. Buses will not run in the morning but will run in the afternoon.
This year we are introducing a new PE uniform. The uniform can be purchased from McKeever Sports. For the school year 2023-24 the PE uniform will be optional but from 2024-25 onwards it will be part of our school uniform policy and compulsory for all students. On the day that students have PE they will be allowed to wear the designated PE uniform for the full school day.
McKeever’s will operate a number of ordering windows during the next year. This will facilitate spreading the cost of the uniform across a number of these ordering windows which will a help to all families.
Our second ordering window is open until 1st December By clicking Maria Immaculata Community College – McKeever Teamwear you will see that there are a number of different options for purchasing. As outlined already it is possible to purchase the uniform in stages across the next 12 months. Once the order window is closed it will take 8 to 10 weeks for the order to be received in the school and we will distribute to those who have ordered. Further ordering windows will be available throughout the school year.

Our Student Council have been to the forefront in relation to the selection of this new uniform and we are greatly appreciative of their work.

On Tuesday 25th April MICC will host a presentation by Celine Griffin which will look at areas like consent, image based abuse etc.
It will be of huge benefit to all parents/guardians/staff as we support the young people in our community navigate the modern world.
On Thursday 16th March 2023 we came together once again as a school community to celebrate the creativity that is so evident within our school community.
