Well done to Rose, Ciara & Chloe who represented MICC in the BT Young Scientist in the RDS. Their project was based on if Irish teenagers can acquire Irish sign langauge faster than Spanish.
This year MICC had two students from the Leaving Cert class of 2018 receiving the UCC Quercus Entrance Scholarship for talented students. Becca Hennigan who is studying Law & Business and Ellen O’Sullivan who is studying Arts International.
Well done to the group of fifth year students who volunteered in Zambia last summer. They were awarded the West Cork Garda Youth Award at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Beara Coast Hotel. MICC recently ran a very successful Science Week. Activities included a cream cracker challenge, scavenger hunt, science magic show, Pringles ring challenge, a daily quiz and mystery box challenge.
Well done to Paraig Galvin, Leaving Cert 2018 who was recently presented with a UCD Entrance Award where Paraig is studying veterinary medicine.
MICC Open Evening will take place on November 8th at 6.30pm. Principal’s address is at 8pm. All prospective students are welcome to attend!
MICC were very proud of their Junior Cert results 2018. Well done to all the students, staff and their families involved in achieving these suite of results. The best overall result in MICC was achieved by Mairead Crowley.
