They say a week is a long time in politics, well a day is a long time in education!
Thankfully sense has prevailed and the decision to ask staff, Leaving Cert students and Special Classes to enter school buildings has been paused and public health advice surrounding restricting mobility of large numbers of people has taken priority.
Our plan for moving forward will now be the following:
Monday 11th January |
9:30 – 11:00 Staff Meeting (Online)
12:00 – 14:00 Students can access the school building in order to retrieve any books/materials they would require for online learning and teaching. If you do require to collect materials you are asked to enter through the main door near the office, wear a mask, sanitise your hands and bring a bag to put your books into. Please do not congregate or spend time chatting to others and remember to keep your social distance from others at all times. You then leave through the back door.If you tested positive for Covid 19 and are still within the required isolation period you MUST NOT come into the school to collect your books. This would be most irresponsible and put others at risk. This is more essential than having your books for now. Can I please ask that if any student has tested positive for covid or if anyone is a close contact of a confirmed case and should be restricting their movements not to attend the school under any circumstances and to adhere to the guidelines on isolation. We will arrange for you to collect your books at another time when your period of isolation or restricted movement is over.
Year groups are asked to stick to the assigned times below. Families can choose one of the slots and all members of that family can collect their books during that time. 12:00 – 12:20 First Years
12:20 – 12:40 Second Years
12:40 – 13:00 Third Years
13:00 – 13:20 Fourth Years
13:20 – 13:40 Fifth Years
13:40 – 14:00 Sixth Years

Tuesday 12th January – Friday 29th January | Online learning and teaching for all year groups begins. Classes will follow the normal timetable. |
